	Intermediate to advanced level classes with pre-requisites.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS


Tuesdays 7:00- 8:00pm Cafe Casablanca 2524 Bridge St $10 drop in, $45 for 5 class card		NY style Salsa (mambo) is danced to the rhythm of the congas and the techniques used allow for quick turns and direction changes, complex partner patterns and more body movement while dancing on a crowded dance floor. Each class will start with an open footwork combination (shine) and continue to a partnerwork combination. The shines portion of the class is a great way to improve balance, timing, speed and coordination and will start you on your way to being able to be creative when your partner lets go of you on the social dance floor. In the partnerwork section, increasing emphasis is placed on style and musicality as we work on more complex turn patterns and techniques. An intermediate version of the partnerwork will be taught first and then we will work on adding elements to the combination to make it more advanced helping you take your dancing to the next level. Must have completed a NY Salsa ON 2 Beginner series parts 1, 2 & 3 or have instructor permission.

SPECIAL BACHATA WORKSHOP SERIES
Fridays- 3 Week Series November 14, 21, 28 7:00- 8:00pm Cafe Casablanca 2524 Bridge St $24 for 3 weeks Pre-registration only		Want to add some sexy new moves to your Bachata repertoire? Learn to dip & sway your way into a dance to remember! No partner required. This series is by pre-registration only.

ONCE YEARLY AUDITION FOR THE INTERNATIONAL TOURING, TRAINING & LOCAL TEAMS
Wednesday November 26 8:00- 10:00pm Club Phoenix 2122A Government St- Aerobics Room $10.00 per person includes review		*Ever dreamt of being part of a touring dance group?* Ever imagined yourself on an international stage? Ever wanted to improve your dancing while having fun? 2008 was a really exciting season for ¡SALSA CALIENTE! We traveled to the Puerto Rico Salsa Congress in July and the New York Salsa Congress in August. For the 2009 season we are already officially confirmed to return to Puerto Rico and we are also working New York and China. In the past we have toured to Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, Mexico and Italy. Requirements: A passion for dance, a willingness to learn & work hard, a positive attitude, the ability to work as part of a close group, a strong sense of commitment, good style, stage presence and ability to follow. No dance experience or partner required. We are also looking for dancers for our local performance group. For this group, no performance or dance experience is required. All you need is a great attitude!!
